De-fleeting and customising a Scania HGV

The story of how we repainted this Scania HGV to get it ready for a new owner.

Our client sent us this Scania HGV to have its fleet branding removed and transformed from bright orange to shiny black. We repaired its damaged wheels and Kelsar low bar, and painted roof light surrounds and all sections of the aluminium catwalk. Our in-house signwriters replicated and fitted new low bar stickers, before polishing and waxing and delivery to the customer.

Colour matching and consistency

Vehicle paint is mixed with our computerised system that use precise formulas linked to the vehicle’s paint code. Our machines combine base colors, tints, and additives with exact measurements, ensuring accurate colour matching and consistency. The result is a uniform, ready-to-apply paint tailored to the vehicle.

Commercial vehicle spray booths

Our commercial vehicle spray booths are specialised, controlled environments designed for painting large vehicles like trucks, vans, and trailers. These booths ensure optimal conditions for applying paint, with features like temperature control, advanced ventilation, and dust filtration. They also support low-bake curing, enhancing paint durability and reducing drying time.

A flawless finish

At Commercial Colours, professionalism and attention to detail are at the core of our vehicle paint spraying services. We ensure every vehicle leaves with a flawless finish. Our skilled technicians combine craftsmanship with cutting-edge equipment, delivering results that not only meet but exceed customer expectations.

Polishing, waxing, and delivery

In this final stage, our in-house sign-writers replicated and fitted the low bar stickers. The cab then had a 6000 and 3000 Trizact polish, followed by a coarse compound polish and hand wax.
